Rotarian Bill Evans was in the Chair this week.  Bill reminded all that this was Climate Change week and that there was a Climate Change Conference at the Civic Center this week.  Indeed, there was a lot of related activities for the general public to attend.  He alluded that climate change was the highest priority for the Town.
Guests – Three guests this week – James Mark , Heather Dixon and Andrew Wilson.
There were no Visiting Rotarians and no Pin Pal stories.  Makeups were earned by the Club Admin and the Gold Mine Committees.
There were no Birthdays, although Dianne indicated that she had a cousin who was having a birthday.  Clearly the Chair was losing control of the meeting.
The 50 / 50 Draw saw Edna’s ticket drawn, but she was denied a win of the big money (a whopping $25) by picking the 3 of    , Instead of the Ace of .
Susan started off the Happy Dollars with a declaration that lots of snow = skiing.  Don’t call this afternoon!............Patricia was happy that it was Valentines Day and indicated that we should all love our grandkids (at least those of us that have them)……Darrell was happy to be back at Rotary (so was Marguerite) and thanked those that picked up the slack as he convalesced………Tammy thank those that sponsored her son Devan’s fundraiser……Wynn was back in Town briefly and wished that Trump wasn’t the POTUS  (so does the rest of the world),,,,,,,,,,,Ove was glad he made the meeting.  Seems he was sitting at home and realized he should be at the meeting.  One of the ladies was last seen combing his hair.
Next Weeks Roster will have Louise in the Chair as it is Club Assembly.  The greeter will be Dianne and Lesley & Trish will talk about various projects upcoming.  Club member support is vital at these Club Assemblies.
Next Wednesday will see the Board meets as last weeks meeting was cancelled due to weather.

Dianne spoke on behalf of the Club Admin Committee to inform members that a Food Handling Course will be given in March, sponsored by the Town. If interested, let Dianne know.   Also, the March 7th meeting will be cancelled in favour of a maple syrup brunch on Sunday afternoon (March 10th).  More info shortly as to the location………Louise advised members that preliminary work is going on for the Spring Bash.  When Jamie returns, a decision will be made whether to go forward with a 209 version.  April 27th has been picked as the date and some vendors have already agreed to vend………Susan indicated that the Youth Services Committee will be holding 5 interviews this afternoon for the Adventures in Citizenship trip to Ottawa in May.
Our Gold Mine winner from the February 11th draw was here today to pick up his cheque.  James Mark is shown receiving his cheque for $1,342 from Rotarian Edna Boland.  Also on hand was our Charity-of-the-Week winner - Heather Dixon, principal of Marshview School.  She received her cheque for $671 from Rotarian Susan Fisher.

Gayle introduced our Speaker – Dr. Andrew Wilson, who teaches Religious Studies at MTA.  Andrew was there to update the Club on the activities of the Sackville Schools 2020 Program.  He gave a brief history of how and why this committee was started and what their goals have been.  The DEC has recommended that Marshview School be closed, and Andrew went on to describe how this fit with the plan of Sackville Schools 2020.
Andrew was thanked by Rotarian Morgan Rosenberg.
The meeting concluded with the 4-way-test.
