Rotary Club of Sackville Bulletin - November 7, 2019
Trish was in the Chair today.  Following a bad day on Wednesday, she read a portion of the poem Deserada, which seemed very a pro-pro.
Guests today were sparse, with only our guest speaker Bill Green fitting the bill.  There were no visiting Rotarians.
Members of the Club Admin committee had a makeup.  In the Pin Pal category, Dianne had a reunion with Pat Perry in the airport.  Pat was returning from Calgary and reported that one of the Clubs in Calgary had a major fundraiser – a dream home.  They raised over one million dollars.
There were no birthdays this week.
50-50 Draw: Pat Perry tried to have her luck continue as her ticket was drawn.  Looking for the ten (10) of     , she drew the Queen of     and lost out on $194.
Happy Toonies: Trish was happy as she was escaping Sackville to go to Willoughby OH to attend a Cleveland Browns game.  The Ti-Cats will never be the same!..........Judith enjoyed her first Toonie count and was happy with a tenants meeting in her new digs………Bill was happy as he picked up his granddaughter at the airport……..Patricia was happy to be back from a 5-day excursion……..Theresa was happy that we had a speaker whose presentation centred on Remembrance Day.  She had a son in Korea………Louise thanked Rotarians for insisting that Mariah go to the hospital after the Lobster party.  She will be speaking at the hospital later today……..Pat Perry considers herself lucky.  While travelling outside Kenora ON, a good Samaritan driving behind signalled them that an axle on their trailer was on fire.  The fire was put out with minimum damage to the trailer.....Dianne was happy and sad.  Happy that the Titans were going to the Provincial finals and sad that Pam has resigned……….Speaker Bill was happy that he and several veterans took a bunch of kids to a wildlife park……..Marita was happy that kalika was now home and her kidneys are healing.
