While there were no actual birthdays this week, Marita and Pam will celebrate next week.  As next week is a social event, they were recognized this week.
50-50 Draw – Ove was lucky enough to have his ticket drawn this week.  Looking for the 10 of hearts and $163, he drew the 5 of Clubs.  Maybe next time!
Happy TooniesDavid was happy to be going to Ontario to see his new granddaughter……..In a related theme, Ove just returned from Quebec where he visited the “best” granddaughter……..Charlie noted that Marita was sitting with three of the oldest (in years) Club members.  Older men can be charming!..........Wynn dispelled the rumors that he is retiring.  He is moving his office to his house and will split his time between Sackville and Florida.  Some people have it rough!..........Judith was happy that she and Ian have finally moved into their new apartment.………Susan F. was somewhat sad that Wynn is going to Florida but happy that brother Ian and Judith have moved into their new apartment……. Trish was happy to transplant 2 boxes of tulips to Ontario. The Youth committee is looking for volunteers to help dispense dictionaries to students at Salem and Dorchester schools next week.  Interested, see Susan.
Presidents Time – David acknowledged Susan involvement in today's breakfast……He reminded members of the upcoming District Conference.  Highlights will have a speaker who will discuss the changes occurring within Rotary, Rotaractors now as equals and our own Pam being awarded Rotarian of the Year.
He concluded his time with the induction of three (3) new members:  Julia Fentham (1st corporate member), Miranda Forestall  and Judith Cane (transfer for Orleans ON)
Chad had the pleasure of introducing our guest speaker, Karen Valanne, who is Executive Director of the Tantramar Heritage Trust, a Gold Mine Charity.  Karen was here to indicate how being a Gold Mine Charity is helping with the operation of the Trust.  She related the projects past and for the rest of the year.  The money we give is used to ensure that the general public gets to see and or partake in all the projects attributable to the Trust.
Karen was thanked by Stacey with the presentation of a certificate and pen.  A book, signifying her talk will be sent to a local library.
