Rotary Club of Sackville Bulletin - January 3, 2019
ChairSue F chaired today’s meeting and read a letter written by her great-grandfather to advise his sons on how to live a satisfying and useful life.
Guests:  We welcomed Heather Patterson and Bob Berry.
Cheque Presentation: Heather Patterson of the Sackville Assistance Centre accepted a Goldmine cheque for $620.00, presented by Bill.
Bill, in his favourite activity, also presented the Goldmine winner cheque for $2,580 to Bob Berry.
Rotary for Jan 10, 2019 – Club Assembly
Chair:  Louise
Greeter:  Wynn or Bill
50/50 Draw – Our pot of $328.00 is still growing as Wayne picked the king of clubs in pursuit of the Queen of Spades.
Happy Toonies:
Pat B was a polar bear on Jan 1st as she dipped in the water at Dorchester, a gorgeous setting and a fabulous experience; she has a goal of 25 consecutive annual dips……Pat also encouraged the club members to watch the movie Mandela for an educational and inspiring evening…..regardless of the vagaries of air travel, Dianne persisted and went to Toronto last Saturday where she enjoyed the fantastic play Come From Away and then attended the New Year’s Eve wedding of her nephew…..Sue F is affectionately amused watching David’s toddler grandson initiate (and terminate!) facetime calls with his granddad.
