Guests: We were happy to meet and welcome Kim Lively, Erin’s mom. Cheque Presentation: Sackville Early Music happily accepted a Goldmine cheque for $681.50, presented by Pam. Darrel presented the Curl for Cancer cheque to Erin, in support of the charity bonspiel to be played at the Sackville Curling Club. 50-50 Draw- If she was looking for some extra Christmas cash, Tammy was denied as she missed out on a couple hundred dollars in this weeks draw. Erin’s presentation of her and her mom’s recent 500-mile journey along the Camino de Santiago was descriptive, thoughtful and humorous. She described how she and Kim bought tickets in celebration of their birthdays and their adventurous natures and charged ahead. On reflection of the mind-expanding experience, Erin presented her 5 take-aways: People are good. Less is always more. People are just people. There is always an opportunity to impact others. Slow down, life is not a race. Erin was thanked by Pat on behalf of the club. The meeting concluded with recitation of the 4-way test. |
